ECTS 518 STATUS REPORTS

The three STATUS REPORTS are to help the instructor to keep track of what the ECTS 518 Scholars are doing as they work on develpoing their portfolios. Follow each of the three links below to see what specific information should be included in each status report:
  1. SR1 - FIRST Status Report: should be e-mailed within one week after the scholar's Data Sheet and School Site Documents have been submitted and not any later than the date indicated for Class Session 3 for currently enrolled scholars. The primary purpose SR1 is for the scholar to confirm that his Data Sheet and School Site documents have been sent to the instructor and that he/she has started working on assignments in the ECTS 518 E-TEXT.

  2. SR2 - SECOND Status Report: should be e-mailed after approximately a third of the materials required for the portfolio have been completed and not any later than the date indicated for Class Session 5 for currently enrolled scholars. The primary purpose SR2 is to confirm progress on the assignments that will be included in the completed portfolio and provide an updated estimate of when the portfolio will be completed.

  3. SR3 - THIRD Status Report: should be e-mailed after the portfolio has been completed and not any later than the date indicated for Class Session 9 for currently enrolled scholars. The primary purpose SR3 is to confirm that the instructor has received the completed portfolio, request the grade earned and see if anything additional needs to be done.
PLEASE NOTE: Questions about any specific assignments should be e-mailed to the instructor whenever they might occur and the particular content in question should be included as part of the e-mail message (see standard #5 from the ECTS 518 E-MAIL STANDARDS).

Any scholar who completes his/her portfolio before being officially enrolled in the ECTS 518 course should save the e-mail response to SR3 received from the instructor and send a copy of that back to him during the quarter that the scholar is officially enrolled, to remind the instructor that the portfolio has been completed and the grade needs to be posted at the end of that quarter.
