Rebecca Crippin is a graduate student in English.  She graduated from California State University, Long Beach in January of 2002 with her B.A. in Psychology.  In Spring of 2000, she studied in Nottingham, England, and traveled throughout Europe.

Rebecca is currently pursuing her MA in English composition.  Her relevant coursework includes: English Literature I, American Literature I, Women Writers, Analysis of Prose Fiction, The English Language, Pedagogical Grammar, Issues in Tutoring Writing, Special Studies in Writing: Grant and Academic Writing, Perspectives on Research, The Western Rhetorical Tradition, Contemporary Composition and Discourse Theory, and Discourse Analysis: Theory and Applications.

Her current research is focusing on how the arguments for using Directive or Non-Directive forms of tutoring leave out the most important aspect when debating which the “better” form of tutoring is: the student.

Robert Cedillo graduated from CSUSB in 2000 with a degree in Psychology and is currently completing a B.A. in English Literature in the Fall 2003 quarter.

His pertinent course work includes English Literature I, II, III, American Lit I, II, III, Analysis of Poetry, Analysis of Prose Fiction, Women Writers, Literary Theory and Criticism, English Language, Pedagogical Grammar, Shakespeare I, II, English Literature of the Renaissance, Shakespeare’s Roman Plays and Studies in Renaissance Drama.  His literary interests include Elizabethan and Jacobean drama, Science Fiction of the 19th and 20th centuries, and the poetry of Robert Browning.  He also tinkers with Psychoanalytic and structuralist theories of literature.  Mr. Cedillo has been admitted into the Graduate Program here; he will pursue the MA in Composition in the Literature Track.
