DISCUSSION QUES: Lecture 18, Chpt 12, Resources (b)

Draw a graph showing how a firm determines its optimal rate of recycling. Then, use the graph to discuss why the firm will tend to recycle less than is socially optimal. I will call on several students to develop this “economics of recycling” concept in class, with one student adding and explaining each curve then a final student to explain the conclusion if it hasn’t already been shown.
